I live in Rome, we must be north of the worst weather. We have had torrential downpours and some flooding, but nothing like you have reported that Atlanta has had.
On a lighter note - the sun was out for about 7 1/2 minutes earlier. Maybe that is a foreshadow of better weather. |
I hope so!! It has not rained since last night; although, it is rather dark outside. They are predicting more storms for today, but hopefully they won't be as bad. Yesterday I went outside for a brief period, and I actually thought it was hailing. The rain was coming down so hard that it actually hurt when it hit you.
They are saying that depending on today, the rain may start to receed by tomorrow night.
Georgia may be in the state of emergency status. They are unable to put a monetary figure on the damages because everything is under muddy water.
