Congrats on your new addition! That's awesome. I have a 14 plus pounder that I bought from a Pet Store 8 yrs ago (didn't know then what I know now) and I too was a little disapointed when he grew & grew & grew. I love him to pieces but I still wanted a normal sized one, so I have three regular sized, one teapot and a tiny guy now. I totally undertand where you're coming from.
You've got the best of both now, and it's great they get along well. My five play well together, we just have to watch the small one with the bigger one, not that he would intentionally harm him, but just normal playing could hurt him so we have to always supervise playtime.
