Ok, I know this is gross subject, but I have a question about worms. The people that we got our little guy from did not take very good care of him. He had fleas from the time he was born until we got him at 8 weeks. He was also not wormed at all. When we took him to the vet the vet gave him some worming meds. The first day I notice one long worm that came out, and several dried up worms in his bedding, but not much after that and they were all dead. That was almost 2 weeks ago. Today I noticed some live worms in his poop. Is this still part of the deworming process?? I called the vet and he told me that when I come back for his shots that he will give him another dose of the worming meds, but that is a month between doses. Shouldn't I be giving him another dose at the 2 week point? I thought you were suppose to worm them every two week for a while. What should I do?? Is there something over the counter I can use??
