Yes, that's the hard part. I have stairs for the dogs everywhere for the furniture; they were both neutered when they were young, before they got so brave. I could strand Bella on the furniture all day: she won't get off if the stairs aren't there. Puddie? Well, he's a BOY - 'nuff said . Most of the time he uses the stairs, but when's he's feeling playful, he'll launch himself off the furniture like a rocket . But at any rate, because they were young, it was easier to control what they did.

Good luck with Odie's recovery. He'll be just fine in no time at all.
