I adopted my yorkie from a woman who claimed to have bought her from a breeder because of horrible living conditions. This is the first Yorkie I have ever owned. She is a year and a half and just had her second litter of puppies eight weeks ago. When I picked her up, I noticed her hair was a little thin. Later on, I noticed a small bald spot by her ear. Then again later on, when she rolled over on her back, I saw a flea. To sum this up, I found a couple more fleas later on through the day, (total of maybe four), but only when she rolled over on her back and the hair was thinner on her stomach. I treated her with advantage, and 12 hours later, I have not been able to see anymore. I'm wondering if her hair is thin and shedding because of the fleas, or if it could be because she just had puppies not to long ago. Any advice?
