what did you tell the groomer to do when you first went in? you said its not all the groomers fault. |
I gave her a pic and told her I wanted her facial area left longer (we discussed lengths). I knew her body would have to be short but we discussed nothing about SHAVING. She had gotten out earlier that morning (think she had psychic powers and knew what was going to happen later in the day and was making a break for it...half kidding there) and when we finally got her back in she had some burrs in her hair. We had gotten most of them out by the time we made the 30 minute drive to the groomer but there were a few stubborn ones that we couldn't get to budge so I talked to her (the groomer) about cutting her hair just below where they were which would have left her hair almost 2 inches long. As you can see her hair is not even close to 2 inches long...she looks like my hubby when he was active duty military.
There is a funny part in all of this...the groomer's hair looks just like Lulu's. I am not even kidding...her head was shaved with just a little piece of longer hair in the front. She was a very nice person...and I didn't think anything of her haircut at the time (I am a firm believer you can't judge a person by how they look) but now, it is funny because it is the same as Lulu's. I am not going to dog her (no pun intended), she might be a great groomer for someone else but I will not be taking Lulu back. As stated previously, I feel it is best if I educate myself and groom her on my own.
