I'm so sorry for your loss and RIP sweet little Gertie. I think everyone deals with the loss of a pet differently. I lost one the end of July last year and thought I never wanted to go through that pain again. The house was so quiet and lonely without Scooter that I started looking for another one about a month later. On Sept. 19th we brought Bailey home and what a joyful year it's been.
