Right now, I really suggest that you take some slow deep breaths and try to relax.

When you see your allergy specialist tomorrow you will have more answers and a clearer idea of what you need to do.
Until then, the only thing worrying will accomplish is to make you more stressed (which is not good since long term stress lowers the body's defenses, and your family needs you!) If there is a way you and your doctor can help you deal with whatever it is you're having your allergic reactions to, I am sure they will find it.
Also meant to add, that while some people with animal allergies can have pets... some can't. In the end, your allergist will be your best bet in helping to decide that (as they are the most knowledgeable.) Good luck! I hope everything works out for your family and you can find a way to keep Karlee.
