Good to see so many interested in knitting. My daughter has Stitch n Bitch night at her house once a week. We are all at different levels of know-how and some just come to learn. If you can get in a group, you will find that knitters are very friendly and encouraging. If they laugh at your knitting, it is only because they have done something similar themselves! I'm working on a simple dog sweater and will take pictures when it is finished.

Ravelry is great. Knittinghelp has videos on their website showing both English (throwing) and Continental styles of knitting. I learn lots of neat stuff watching Knitty Gritty.

Does anyone have a favorite pattern for beginners? I made my dog a winter scarf that is very easy and cute. It matches mine!!!
