No it doesn't hurt, but it probably doesn't help that much, it depends on how long it takes to dry out in your refrigerator verses how long it takes to dry out at room temperature. Some refrigerators really suck the moisture out of food if not wrapped so this could dry it out faster. In AZ they really dry fast in our dry air. Just remember when moisture is gone bacteria are dead. You really don't have to worry so much about bacteria with dogs, they can handle many types of bacteria that would kill us.
