My little Sadie got stung by a wasp about 2 weeks ago on her upper lip by her nose...kinda like the cheek area. She did swell a little...I also looked for a stinger and couldn't find one. It was 3:00 in the afternoon and my vet closes at 5:00. I was concerned that she would go into anaphlactic (sp?)shock....so I called my vet and they told me to bring her in. They told me to give her benadryl and that she was going to be fine,.,....said that if she were going to have a bad reaction it would have happened with in a few minutes after being stung...She also told me that a wasp will not leave a stinger.
