Hi... I've always noticed that when I leave my yorkie home alone.. even just for a little bit... when i get home he is so excited to see me he whimpers, his ears lay back and he even shakes and jumps all over the place and doesn't relax until i pick him up and hold him then he just kisses me and loves me and slowly calms down to normal...... So when possible I always take him with me, which i never mind doing. I actually really enjoy his company.
Well recently my father in law was diagnosed with cancer and for the last 2 days i've had to leave him home alone for hours... the first day was just for a few hours.... but yesterday was pretty much all day long... He is soooooo excited when we get home he even did a complete back flip one time when we opened the door...... I couldn't believe my eyes...
Anyways... my question is, how much stress and anxiety may he be going through while were gone.. It really worries me. I do have 2 cats too that I try to make sure are in the house with him, but that doesnt' really seem to make a difference..
any comments and experiences are much appreciated.
Thanks!
