My one girl was only 2.8lbs when I spayed her, and the other was about 3.2. They both had pre-anesthetic bloodwork and an IV catheter w/fluids while under the anesthesia. Ask your vet-some like to wait until a certain age/weight. I have seen other yorkies that were under 3 lbs get spayed and they all did well. Good luck. I personally wouldn't want to deal with the heat cycles and the chance that a male would accidentally tie with her--or even false pregnancy/pyometra.
