My little one tied on the 8th of sept. My first reaction was to go ahead and get her spay and to just make the problem go away. I honestly didn’t want to give up so much time to raising puppies. But, when time came to committee to the spay I couldn’t do it. I broke down knowing there may be little ones growing inside of her. So, I made the choice to go forward and educate myself on what to expect. I’ve already decided that no matter how many puppies she has I’m keeping them all. I don’t know if it’s realistic but, there is no way I will be able to part with them after 12 weeks of raising them.

I do work, my job is really flexible. I do not know a single person who breeds dogs nor do I know a vet or vet tech personally, but the little ones whole family (daddy and grandma, etc) are all willing to help incase we do end up needing to bottle feed.

So, is having the vets feel for the puppies safe??? If it is I’ll change my calendar and Fiona will go in for that and if they do not feel a puppy just to be sure I’ll do the ultrasound then the x ray? If they feel a puppy I’ll skip the ultrasound and just do the x ray.

Thank you so much for the advice and the website!!!
