Oscar lost a large patch of hair on his back just below his shoulder blades. He had a skin scraping done and they found Demodex mites which were all dead indicating a previous infestation. The vet also thinks it could be something called immune mediated vasculitis. He's on steroids now and hopefully his hair will grow back. He has a comb-over to hide the bald spot. He doesn't itch anymore, but I would suggest using a mild aloe and oatmeal shampoo and even try tea tree oil to help with the itching.
