Default No lecture here...............

..........you've come here for support and that's what you'll get from me. What's done is done.....accidents do happen, so don't beat yourself up about it. It sounds very responsible & you are prepared to do whatever you must for a safe whelp. That's what matters now.
At 6 lbs, your girl is a nice sized weight for whelping (as yorkies go) though it's not just the weight but also how she is built that matters. Though we like the males to be smaller, here to it's more the size of the puppies the studs line (parents, grand-parents, etc.) is known for throwing that matters. I assume you don't & won't know that; this is where an x-ray will be a great help. An ultra-sound is not necessary; at about 25-28 days from breeding take her to your vet; they should be able to feel for small lumps in the abdomen to confirm pregnancy. I don't believe a count is accurate from this. My female had just one puppy four weeks ago; when I took her in to see if she was PG, the vet could not feel any lump to confirm pregnancy. My "need to know" was my only reason for doing an ultra-sound & it did show the one puppy. The x-ray is done about 1 week before her due date. It is awesome to see the puppy heads & spines. Through the x-ray the vet can give you a good indication on her ability to whelp naturally and a fairly accurate count of pups (though there have been known to be surprise pups that were hiding in the x-ray). The Debbie Jensen site is a favorite of mine and there are many others on the web; just google "canine whelping, or yorkie whelping" & you'll get lots to look at. Read, read, and read some more.
I wish you and your girl the best outcome. Please keep us posted on her progress & know that we are here to help however we can. Good luck to you!
