I have 2 cats, 2 yorkies, and 2 other dogs. Neither one of the cats cares for the dogs at all. Custard (my fatty catty) just lays around all day out of their way. Snickers will cuddle up to my yorkie girl at night just so she can get some attention as well. Custard and Snickers stay away from the other two dogs as they will chase them around the house.
I suggest that if you do get a kitten, declawed or not (what ever your choice being), that you supervise them closely until the cat is a little older and bigger. Your yorkie might try to take advantage with being bigger, but they should get along fine. Good luck to you and a possible new addition to the house. |
