Sorry to say most vets are in it for the $$$ and in order to safeguard your little one you will have to do a ton of research. The other problem is that vets don't know each breed or toy dogs and how they should be handled.
YT has a ton of information on it and you might want to do a search on vaccinations as I know a ton as been posted.
