I think you're right about the stairs though or closing that room off-which I really don't want to do as it brings in light in that corner of the house. I just didn't want them on that bed because the spread can snag very easily and it has since she's been climbing up it.  |
I know my guest room is the same way so I put up a baby gate and it solved my problem. The light comes into the hallway and the gang doesn't get on the guest bed...
I like the metal pressure gates the best..somewhat like this
