There is another thread Litters in October? where a few of us are expecting litters in October. If your dogs tied 5 weeks ago you would take her into the vet Oct 5-9 for x-rays. Thats a week before she should be due, the puppies bones are becoming more calicfied so they will be easier to see during that time frame. Check out that thread and you'll see how our girls have been acting and how their bellies are growing. I take my girl on the 7th for her x-ray to see how many she is carrying.

I realize that this was not a planned breeding, so I hope that you can take the time to catch yourself up on everything about breeding, whelping, pregnancy signs, and taking care of the pups and mom afterwards. Its going to be hard to squeeze in that amount of research that many of us have done over the past year(s), to somewhat know what we are dealing with.Its a constant learning experience, so take this chance as one.
