Thank you, dear people for your prayers, and Patti, for starting this prayer thread! Praise the Lord! We got by once again without having to have bypass surgery! I was really shook...he has so many stents and I just didn't think they'd be able to do much with all those in there already. His blood test showed his triponin raised, so we knew it was not a false alarm. He hadn't told me, but he had taken nitro glycerin yesterday because of a tight feeling in his chest. Today at work he started having chest pain. Thankfully he works at the hospital, so he was able to talk with his doctor quickly. His heart cath showed blockage at a junction just beyond a stent he had previously, and it was very tricky going through the one stent and getting the other one placed right, but they did it. The doctor said it looks like a "T" with the one stent one way and the next one a different direction. There was bad news about his infracture rate...it was down to 30, but the doctor is hoping that in a few weeks they will give him a test and that will have increased.
Whew! It's been a stressful afternoon and evening, but things are looking much better now. Hugs to all! |
