Hi everyone wanted to update again, also wanted to thank all of you for the advice, comments and posts. There has been a lot of great info passed along that I was happy to find out about!
As for our situation its still a struggle with the hives outbreaks and I'm still having throat swelling, but, I have noticed my oldest son has been doing a little better. I have done everything to try to help our home to be allergy free the best I can and with all the advice...thanks for those that commented with all the great info!
We just are not sure what we are going to have to do yet. Karlee I have her on the same shampoo I use its dye free and fragrant free (the same kind I use) and the old bottle I compared to the new bottle same ingredients so I don't think that is it? Good advice there was given to me about the shampoos and I appreciate that.
My Mom came to visit and my Dad this weekend and as soon as my Mom held Karlee she complained of her eyes burning by that night they were red and swollen and she has stayed the week with us and they have'nt gotten a lot better. This has never happened to her so she definatly has suspicions about Karlee causing and triggering it...not sure I am fully thinking its that but I understand why she would think that its just a tough situation all together. Next weekend I'm going to visit them for my Dad's birthday they live 2 hrs away and we are going to let Karlee stay with a family member while we are gone to see if anything changes with our hives outbreaks and allergies thats one way to find out maybe.
Today I did get some good info I took my son to the doctor and I talked about our situation with Karlee this is what the doctor brought up, she said Yorkies were great for allergy sufferers most of the time but there is things to consider, a housepet is different than an outdoor pet- of course we all know that- but here was her points, she said that when we take Karlee out she is on her feet with her bare paws playing and running, brushing up against things and the grass and licking things...so when we bring her in the house she may have something on her paws that she tracks in to our carpet, couch, clothes ect...not to mention when she licks on us if she has ate any grass or licked on things or if she has brushed up against something we are allergic too then when we pet her it goes in the air for us to breath or sticks to our skin or clothes when we hold her. She suggested to use a wipe to wipe the pads of her feet off good and maybe to soak her feet for a min or two in some warm water and dry them off to make sure to get anything off her feet. Then she said to take a wipe or clothe and wipe her off good each time we go outside. That's a good point so I'm gonna try that see what happens. She said with our allergies the way they are it is possible that we are just all around allergic or that we may not ever know the true cause as there is so many possiblities to what triggers them. We are trying everything and hoping for the best!
