I can't say anything Carter's Mom didn't. Excellent advice, including a lot of stuff I didn't know. I bought the first digital rebel, 6.1 megapixels, I think. It's been durable, dependable and takes great pix. I can't even image a 16.7 megapixel camera. You might want to think about how you're going to store all those pixtures. I'm filling up my 40 gig external hard drive relatively fast.
