My boy has the same odor too.I think it's the drainage seeping into the hair around the face. BUT when i wash it with a dab of shampoo and rinse well it goes away for about 2 days and back again.
As for the poop and spinning in circles, YEP, Dud does that too, it's not a fast or speedy spin he just keeps turning like he going to find the bigger, better blade of grass, then it done and he bolts away from it...Funny
