Welcome to YT and I hope you will enjoy yourself here. Your book looks wonderful and I would love to also read your husbands. YOu certainly had a wonderful life in France and what a special little one you got to bring home.
I am real curious on your thoughts of why in most European cities it is okay to take your pet into many establishments including restaurants and not here in the states. When I traveled Europe (I was a travel agent for 12 years) I did not see many mutts there and in some countries they are not allowed to neuter their animals. I find this interesting.
