Molly does it after she's done a wee. I saw it on a wildlife programme once...seems its all to do with marking. They wee/poo and scuff to spread what they've done around!! Lovely! Stand back if they do it after a poo though. My friend ended up with a neat blob of poo on the top of her new shoes!!
