Lacey's puppies are not even a week old and she is spending less time with them. She is still very protective of them and she checks on them often but she does not stay in the box or even same room. Even if I lock her in the room with them she will lay outside the box. I will hear them cty and she will just look at them and then ignore them.... Kind of like when a mom knows when her kid is really in need of help or just getting frustrated. Is this normal this soon?
