IDK..I just don't have this problem! I have two dogs and three cats and you'd never know it walking into my house? I'm very diligent about cleaning cat litter EVERY day and my dog(s) pads get changed daily whilst usuing a thick, quality pad. May or may not be the reason, but I don't have this problem. (smell)
