I'm getting into this thread late, but I would like to add a couple of cents here. PLEASE listen to what the people here are telling you and go with a vet who will do all the pre-op bloodwork and the proper anesthesia. I had Toby neutered when he was 6 months at the vet we had been with for 15 years with other animals. They called after the procedure was done to tell me he had had a cardiac arrest and almost didn't make it. Turns out they used anesthesia that is not recommended for these little ones, and too much of it too. Thankfully, after cardiac work-ups and lots of worry, he is ok. Ellie May was the first one who informed about what should be used for tinies, and I would trust anything she says. If it costs a little more, it's definitely worth it! |
