I agree with you 100 percent. I dont mind the mixed breeds, It just blows my mind how people are just willing to throw 2 dogs together and charge a ton of money. I have a yorkie/poodle mix. He wasnt an oops litter. The woman who I got him from is friends of ours (well my hubby) and after he was born, I tried to encourge her to fix the parents. She didnt and they went on to breed again and she was charging $500 dollars for the puppies. They were not worth that much money, they were cute, healthy, friendly, and well socialized but they are a mixed breed and anyone looking for small dog could of looked in our local newspaper or craigslist and bought a purebred for that much money or even less!! She couldnt sell them. She eventually came down in price sold one and kept the other.. another female.. who is almost ready to come into heat.. to this day the parents havent been fixed and they call the one female thier "little money maker" Like any breeding that is done, if its done right and for the occasional litter I dont mind, buts its the people that breed litter after litter just for the money that aggrivates me.
Tucker is a great little dog, the perfect combation of both breeds and I wouldnt hesitate to get another mixed breed but I would definitly look into getting one from a shelter first and I certainly wouldnt pay a ton of money for one.
(hmmm, ive come along way since last year.. , thanks to YT I have learned more about breeding/recuses/shelters etc.. and I have a total different opioion about it. Last year I would of fought tooth and nail about how "right" designer dogs were)
