Oh the poor thing. I do not know much about it- however, i do believe it can be repaired through surgery ( i think i remember hearing something about it ) however, i would seriously do my homework and make sure you have chosen the best surgeon out there.
To help with his digestive issues- is he on a pro biotic daily? I'd imagine he would need a pretty high dose to help him regulate his system.
