Well, I would have to be able to do a different type of stitch around the whole,or make a button hole which neither is something my machine is capable of. I hope to get a fancy computerized sewing machine eventually but until then I guess I can only do simple type stitches. My machines are a bit older and I lost the special attachments need to do anything other than a straight stitch
