This happened to me a couple years ago... the one in our bedroom kept setting off the other ones in the house caue they were all wired together. We even got so scared the first time it happened that we called the fire department. Legally since there was no fire...they couldnt turn off the fire alarm. SOOOOO we had to climb up and pull it out manually and disconnect it.
We "thought" it was the battery too, but it wasnt.
It ended up that we had a defective alarm....this happens sometime. I would suggest disconnecting the one that is setting off all the others, finding out the model no. and ordering a new one. Most likely its defective and this will keep happening. Once we ordered a new one and put it in...it hasnt happened since.
