Once a dog has submissive behavior can it be changed?

I have not bonded well with this dog. She is pretty and sweet but she just does not have the personality I like in a dog. Once I have bred her and weaned my pups I will probably sell her.

Please let her go before you breed her. That really is unfair and in my honest opinion - selfish. If she is so stressed it would seem she doesn't NEED to have puppies. It may prove even more stressful for her.
Sorry for being blunt but you came her honestly & you should do the right thing....find her a home where someone will love her and work on her submissivness/shyness. It sounds like she may have been mistreated. Notice I say 'may' have been mistreated - I'm not saying it happened ...but I'm sure she knows how YOU feel ....so I wouldn't count on correcting the behavior.
manolos mom....that was pretty outstanding of you.
All the best to this little dog.
