What I have done in the past is use a squirt bottle and spray them with water but, I've never had to do it with a yorkie. I guess I've been fortunate enough not to have one that likes to bark a tremendous amount. After a while they get the jist of it. This has also been very effective on a Min Pin that we dog sit from time to time.
