When my Buffy was sick I was very lucky to be with her 24/7, this went on for about 8 months.
When she went without a breathing attack for over 2 weeks I was so thrilled I wanted to go out to have dinner or go dancing and have some cocktails...lol But instead we all stayed home, BBQ some great food and rented some movies, that is a day I will never forget.
