Well, I sure am grateful that there are rescues out there. It's a shame that they are so overwhelmed with animals to care for, mainly because of people that just don't THINK before they adopt a pet. It's like they get this whim, OH, I'm going to get a puppy today---then when they find out that it's WORK to raise them properly, end up getting rid of it

I used to have a friend that would do that with kittens She was irresponsible in every way, getting evicted every 6 months or so, etc. She'd get rid of whatever cat she had at that time, then when she would get a new place, she'd get ANOTHER kitten. I had to stop being friends with her for many reasons, but that was surely the biggest one. And she didn't see anything wrong with the "disposable" kitten routine SO sad! I adopted the first cat that she did this to, but surely couldn't take all of them, there were about 5 by the time I told her I didn't want to speak with her ever again.

God Bless rescues, and those that give of their time and money to help! That Craigslist post has really inspired me to try to do more to help, myself.
