Jack went in today for his annual booster shots, well about a month ago my husband and I noticed a small "pimple like" bump above his hind leg. My husband brought this to the vet's attention and the vet said it was a cyst. He said that there was no reason to extract the cyst and to bring him in if it got any bigger but said that it should leak on it's own. He made it sound like it was no big deal and that making an appointment for a cyst extraction was pointless unless Jack was already going in for another surgery regarding something else in which he would take care of it then. I'm just a little worried...is it normal to let the cyst pop on its own? Jack seems totally fine and it doesn't seem to bother him one bit but I can't help wondering if I should get a second opinion from another vet. Has anyone had a similar experience?
