Hi Everyone... I have been MIA for a long time... but I am back with a new problem and was hoping I'd get some feedback.
Lola-my 3 year old yorkie has always growled at night... but now that we've moved back to our small one br guesthouse she has been doing it through the night- pretty much keeping us up/waking us up every hour or so. She growls at sounds heard outside, I believe it is her "protective mode". She does sleep on the bed with us, should I change that? I have tried putting her in the hamper (she actually enjoys this!) but it only kept her quiet the first few days then she would growl from inside the hamper.
I don't think it's an alpha dog issue, I believe she knows who her alphas are, but this growling and occasional loud barking is driving me and my bf crazy!!!!

It's getting so that I am seriously considering vocal chord removal. I've tried the spray bottle thing, and will try the coins in the can asap. Please somebody help!!!!
