i started putting ACV in their water because i read in one of the threads here that it's really good for them. the ACV is supposed to help prevent arthritis, help maintain white pearly teeth and act as a flea repellant. In addition to all those things, i guess ACV also helps prevent eye gunk from forming.
I would have to clean my yorkie's eyes every single day because he would build up so much eye gunk. Since he's been drinking ACV with his water, I haven't see any eye gunk.
