The last few years I have been keeping pups until they are about 12 weeks old and I truly believe it is much easier on the pups and I really enjoy watching them grow up.

I am sure these breeders do care but they are just uneducated, like I was, as to what is the best age to sell pups. I think YT has been a valuable learning tool for many of us. All we can do it continue to educate people and if you come across someone selling young pups then mention to them the importance of keeping the puppies until they are older. We can't change the world overnight but we can try little by little.

One of the problems out there is the puppy buyers. Many puppy buyers want a 7 or 8 week old pup so they can raise it their self. They don't understand that it is better to buy a older pup that is already weaned and socialized. They act like a 12 week old pup is a grown dog.
I understand what you mean, however, I did come across this breeder that was selling a puppy that was 6 weeks old. I tried to tell her that she needed to stay with her mom, and she looked right at me and said if you don't want her, then someone else will. I looked at the puppy, it's gums were white as snow. I gave the money to the lady, and took the puppy. I rushed straight over to the grocery store for karo syrup. I considered it a rescue. Ellie is like a mother to her and is teaching her the right thing to do. So it worked out good for us. However, if someone with no knowledge would have purchased this puppy, it would for sure had died on them. She had fleas really bad too. Now she's healthy and doing well.

That's the main reason why I get so angry. Many breeders do know that it's wrong, and they just want the money.
