 Juvenile Pyoderma
I just brought Tebo to the vet yesterday and they told me that he had Juvenile Pyoderma, or puppy achne. A few days a go i noticed that he had some spots on his belly and a pretty big dried up area under his neck. Lately he has been scratching and biting himself a lot, escpecially on his belly and his legs. Sometimes he even cries when he is doing it. I bathe him once a week with an oatmeal shampoo. Several people have told me that it is normal for puppies to scratch and bite, but when he started crying, i thought that was a little excessive, and decided to bring him in. They put him on some antibiotics and said to come back in a week for a checkup. If it was not better by then, they would run some tests. Also, i forgot to mention that the hair behind his ears is really thin, and also the hair on his tail is getting really thin. I guess i am just wondering if anyone has any ever dealt with this and if anyone has any suggestions or opinions.
