He sounds like a total nut to me too. I don't use collars on my 14 pounders, only a harness. There have been threads on YT discussing two females together and there are a lot of YT'ers who have two or more females that are the best of friends. I have a male and female and they have occasional bouts of jealousy but have never been aggressive towards each other. I wouldn't pay any attention to that trainer, especially the collar advice.
