Hi! Welcome to Yorkie Talk if I didn't get to welcome you before :-)

Teacup is kind of a loaded term around here, but you DEFINETELY get the benefit of the doubt since you are new around here. There is actually no such thing as a "teacup" Yorkie. It's a misnomer leftover from the "teacup poodle" days. Yorkie standard is 4-7 pounds, there just happens to be smaller Yorkies and larger Yorkies. Some people refer to the Yorkies under 4 pounds as "Tinies". Yorkies are a "Toy" breed dog. I think sometimes that's were the confusion lies. I have people ask me all the time if my Pippa is a teacup....sometimes I explain, sometimes I'm just too tired...LOL
