I would not use an antibiotic unless the sore is open. I have used aquaphor ointment on my dogs' from time to time when they have had chapped or other type of minor skin irritations. I would just clean the area with a mild soap and water and put some of the ointment on once or twice a day for 1-3 days. If that does not take care of it, you might want to see a vet.

Also, if your dog licks at the paws, she can get a yeast overgrowth or pyoderma etc. So you want to curtail the licking if possible - use an e collar or try the baby socks.

Hope this helps, perhaps others have additional ideas.
