Wow 5.8 lbs! Is he a purebred Yorkie, or a Silky? For 3 mths (12 weeks) he's pretty big and still a growing boy, and the two breeds look so much alike but the Silky is the larger of the two and would weigh about that much at 12 weeks.
In the future you'll carry him with much love I'm sure. He'll keep your arms toned from lifting.
