Apparently, the constant wet fur on the chin can cause yeast growth, can then get smelly and stain as well. On a Maltese it is more noticable but probably not on a yorkie.
EVA is like a wet mop after she drinks! So i wipe her. Sometimes i don't catch her in time though. All the water pooling near her dish is lifting the cracks of my laminate floor a bit. Even with a water placemat she still makes a mess. So I thought I would try the bottle.
She seems to think it is more of a toy at this point. |
I did not know that about water on their chins. Good to know! I always have to wipe Winston's face too, as I am sure we all wipe our doggies faces. How long have you been trying to get her to used (correct spelling?) this water bottle? I don't know how long it takes for a dog to get used to one but maybe she just needs more time.
