Kaluiah, I use a Canon Digital Rebel, 6.3 megapixels. There's a newer model out that's 8 megapixels that's even better. It's a lot of camera for the money (My model is down to $800; the new one is around a grand), so be sure you're into picture taking. It's big and clunky, and if you're not going to learn how to use all the features and then be prepared to carry a heavier camera around, you could be wasting your money.

that said, I love everything about it.
