Today is Penny's first birthday... unfortunately, it seemed as though she had a bit of a cough, so she had to visit the vet. Things went well, however, the question of neutering her came up. I have read many books on Yorkies although there is some fact in books, I always find it best to continue to search for other opinions/ answers/ etc. I read and heard that it is good for the dog to have her first liter. With that came a list of reasons why its good... and then of course my first thoughts were the exact opposite. Like why would that be good? and how could it be good? Point is.. Im wondering, is it actually better for a dog to have her first liter? Or isnt it? Penny is 4.6 pounds, shes not tiny, but shes also not very big. She's a great dog, love her tons! I just want whats best for her.. if it is to have puppies or not. Opinions please.
Also, can it hurt them more health wise?
Thank you,
Le & Penny
