On another forum I started posting once a week some of my all time favorite foods to make. And I was just gonna post one on here but why have the wealth to myself? You can share some of your favorite desserts, side dishes, main dishes, drinks, anything! And if you have pictures thats even better!
Okay so my all time favorite cake recipe is Cherry Chocolate Cola Cake!
I took pictures a while back but I cant find them. So anyways, here it is:
Main Ingredients:
1 18 oz. box of chocolate cake mix (not necessary to use the oild as per box directions)
1 21 oz can of cherry pie filling.
Non stick spray.
Liquids: 2 cups diet cherry or normal cola.
4 1/2 cups water (for steam baking, not nescessary for normal baking)
Prepare cake mix as directed on package, replacing the water with the diet cola. Keep remaining diet cola for the glaze. Spray the interior of the cake pan with not stick spray pur cake mix in and place on steam rack (if steam baking)
1) Add 1 1/2 cups water into the base and cook (covered) for ten minutes.
2) Reduce heat to medium high. Remove cover, add 1/12 cups water into the base. Cover for ten minutes.
3) Raise heat to maxium and 1 1/2 cups water into the base, cover, and cook tne more minutes.
IF YOU ARE NOT STEAM COOKING:
Bake as directed on package,
GLAZE:
To glaze the cake, place all pie filling in a medium size pan, the remianing diet cola (I usually add a little more cola) and cook for five minutes, stirring 2 or 3 times. When thickened pur over cake and server hot or cold.
